| Jun Miranda is the first Philippine-based Adobe® Certified Expert and Adobe® Certified Training Provider in Photoshop.
A product of Rockports Photographic Workshop and Kodaks Center for Creative Imaging(Camden, Maine), he established in 1994 PixelMagic, a digital imaging studio and service bureau. Since then, he has been servicing the graphic requirements of several advertising agencies, photographers,design studios and other corporate entities.
In the last seven years, he pursued further studies in imaging and related topics at the United Digital Artist in New York; Dynamic Graphics Educational Foundation in Peoria, Illinois; MacWorld in San Francisco and Boston; and Seybold in Los Angeles.
With the knowledge he has acquired from foreign studies, combined with intensive research and hands-on experience, he became a regular guest-lecturer at various
seminars. He lectured at the AppleWorld 93; at the Graphic Expo 96, 97, 98, 99 and 00; at the IdN Seminar Series 97, 98, 99 and 00; at the
Photoworld Manila 98
and 00 ; at the Advertising Photographers of the Philippines-sponsored seminar (October 1998) and at the Print-on-Demand/Publishing Trade Show 99.
To update his teaching techniques and to prepare himself for certification as a certified technical trainer, he attended the Creative Training Techniques under Robert Pike at Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1997 and FKAs Certified Technical Training Boot Camp at Piscataway, New Jersey in 1999. In 1998, he joined the faculty of the ComArts Department of the De La Salle University to teach Digital Imaging and desktop publishing. In the same year he established the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI) where he currently serves at its president and program director. PCCI is the first Adobe Certified Training Provider in the Philippines. It is also a Macromedia Accredited Tainining Provider and the designated Kodak Digital Learning Center for the Philippines.
Jun has been a member of The Camera Club of the Philippines (CCP) since 1982 and was its 66th president in 1995. In 1997, together with local digital artists and designers, he organized the IdN Club Philippines, an organization of digital artists, designers, and photographers. He served as its first president and is its incumbent Chairman. In the same year, he joined the Advertising Photographers of the Philippines and, in 1998, the US-based National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
